Lincolnshire's roads have been described as being in a 'dire state' - despite the amount of pothole repairs across the country reaching an eight year high,
Last year, Lincolnshire County Council filled over 110,000 potholes, but say they'd need £400 million pounds to tackle the existing issues.
The Department for Transport say most authorities will see an increase in funding by almost a third compared to last year - that's the biggest ever funding increase for local road improvements.
Where I live it's an absolute nightmare
We asked drivers in Lincolnshire about their experiences.
John from Goxhill told us about what happened to his son.
"Where I live it's an absolute nightmare."
"I've just spent 225 quid on two new tyres for my lad because of potholes."
Dave Briggs from Cherry Specialised Transport in Lincoln told us:
"There are a lot of potholes all over the county but certainly down here at Stamp End there's been some really big holes that really needed doing".
"We had one the other day - it was over near Grantham - they got a pothole and it wrecked the
wheel and everything - we do have it - I think everybody does."
A nightmare - and costly
Alison from Lincoln told us about how she felt when her tyre had an issue having gone over a pothole.
"Really inconvenient because I had work the next day so trying to get it where I live - trying to get it fixed quickly in order to not lose a day at work - a nightmare and costly."
Other comments we got from local drivers included:
"It just made a massive bang so you knew straight away."
"I had to leave the car at the road overnight in the middle of the night because I couldn't get the tyre in time."
Another said: "I live outside of Lincoln so I do a lot of country road driving to get into Lincoln and also to get to Horncastle at work."
"They're everywhere".
One man told us: "Cherry Willingham coming towards Lincoln - they're terrible."
