Lincolnshire has large percentage of workers in high emissions industries
South Holland is the second worst across England and Wales
Data reveals that South Holland has the second highest percentage of workers in high emission industries in England and Wales.
The research by Eliments shows it's closely followed by Boston and North Lincolnshire
It comes as there's calls for the decarbonisation of sectors such as manufacturing, and agriculture to reach the government’s target to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
We've been speaking to Tim Grigg from the Sleaford Climate Action Network about this.
March was the warmest ever and that follows on with ten consecutive of warmest temperatures
He told us: "I believe the net zero target for 2050 is really a distraction."
"2050 is so many years in the future and what is really important is the decisions that are made and the action we take within this decade."
"One area I feel we can make genuine reductions is in the way we produce our food and the intensive agricultural systems at the moment so we really need to reduce the intensity of our farming methods - and we can do that."
