The family of a Lincoln woman murdered by her husband have made a heartfelt plea to anyone who's experiencing domestic abuse to urgently seek help.

Yesterday 28 year old Nicholas Metson of Stamp End Lincoln was given a life sentence with a minimum term of 19 years for the murder of wife Holly Bramley.

He disposed of her body parts in the river.

Outside court Holly's family spoke of how they tried to save her from domestic abuse and want anyone in a similar situation to urgently get help

We need her death to highlight that domestic abuse is not OK

Sarah Jane Lindop is Holly's sister.

She told us: "Sadly meeting the man who cruelly took her life was just the beginning of a rocky road for Holly as she embarked on a life of domestic abuse and despite us trying we never managed to save her from that."

"We as a family are asking anyone and encouraging anyone living with domestic abuse to seek support and tell someone."

"There are services out there who can help victims find the happiness and freedom they deserve."

"We miss our Holly so much are hearts are broken."

"But if anything we need her death to highlight that domestic abuse is not OK."

"If she had recognised that this was what she was being subjected to we may still have her home with us now."
