Man and woman questioned after reports gun fired near cemetery
Police say they've been investigating since it happened earlier this month
A 32-year-old man is being held by police investigating reports a gun was fired near the cemetery in Gainsborough earlier this month.
He was arrested this afternoon (31st October) on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.
A woman, 43, has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Lincolnshire Police says detectives have been actively investigating the case since it was reported around 9pm on 8th October.
Three other people were previously arrested in connection with the case.
A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to possess a firearm without a certificate, possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. Police say he's been released on conditional bail.
The other two were a 52-year-old man, and a 56-year-old man, who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, officers added, saying: "Both have been released under investigation.
"We are appealing for anyone with information about that incident to come forwards and share what you know while we continue to investigate."
