A new project has launched in Grimsby designed to give concentrated support to help homeless people get into accommodation.

Not for profit organisation Creative Support has linked up with the town's Food Kitchen to meet homeless people, and help with things like filling out forms.

They've been going to the regular sessions held by the kitchen to meet homeless people, chat and try and help them.

We spoke to Jordan Robinson from the charity about the project.

She told us: "They're living under bridges or in derelict buildings, and to know that no one's actually ever gone to them - right let's do this - let's get you on a pathway - in a sense."

"It's quite shocking really."

We will be there until they feel they're completely independent

"It's just about an opportunity to go to a centralised location and have access to a laptop."

"If they're not aware of how to do those self referrals or have access to the internet, they're never going to get the support they're entitled to or need."

"Being listened to - having that person to talk to is a massive benefit to them."

"We will be there until they feel they're completely independent and ready to go off into the world on their own."

"We're there with our phones for them to speak to them."

"Because apart from that the council wouldn't have the opportunity to actually ring them and begin that process."

"They don't have this technology."

"We'll make sure we do it through all of April and all of May."

"If we need to extend it we will".
