Man charged after woman allegedly raped and assaulted in Blackburn
A man is due to appear before magistrates later
A man has been charged after a woman was allegedly raped and assaulted in Blackburn.
Police say they were called to Throstle Street at 9pm last Friday, where the attack is alleged to have happened.
The woman in her 40s is being supported by specially trained officers.
In an update, officers have confirmed Slawomir Klimek, from of Ingleby Close, has been charged with two counts of rape, wounding and threatening a person with a bladed article.
The 33-year-old- is due to appear before magistrates in Blackburn later.
