CCTV images released after girl, 12, sexually assaulted on train between Birmingham and Hereford

Police have released CCTV images after a 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted on a train between Birmingham and Hereford.

Police investigating a sexual assaulted a young girl on a train between Birmingham and Hereford have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

Just after 8pm on Saturday 16 August, a man sexually assaulted a 12-year-old who was walking with her mother to the train toilets.

He then followed and waited outside the toilets, sexually assaulting her again as she left.

Detective Sergeant Matthew Grieve said: “This is a deeply distressing incident which has shocked and impacted the family.

“We would like to speak to the man pictured, as we believe he may have valuable information that would help our investigation.”

The British Transport Police said: "Anyone who recognises him or has info is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 690 of 16 August.

"You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
