One arrest after man in Hereford was airlifted to hospital
A man has been arrested after a serious assault in Hereford
West Mercia Police are currently at the scene after a man was seriously assaulted in Hereford.
Officers were called to a property on Morefield Street at 4.25pm yesterday (9 October) to reports that two men had sustained knife injuries.
One of the men, aged 42, has sustained serious, potentially life threatening injuries and has been airlifted to hospital.
Another man, aged 49, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Detective Inspector Jordan Baker said: "We understand that communities may feel concerned but we believe this to be an isolated incident.
"Officers including firearms officers swiftly attended the scene and a man has been arrested. Enquiries are ongoing and police are in attendance in the area."
