FINALLY!
Last updated 4th Jan 2023
Before the likes of Made In Chelsea, TOWIE, Love Island and Selling Sunset, MTV and TV producer Adam DiVello gifted us with reality TV royalty such as The Hills and Laguna Beach!
Now, nearly 20 years after the first episode of Laguna Beach aired, streaming platform Netflix have confirmed we can watch the first series of both Laguna Beach and The Hills on their platform!
Is The Hills on Netflix?
Series one of The Hills, which includes 10 episodes, landed on Netflix on Wednesday 4th January 2023.
The first series originally aired on MTV back in 2006, focusing on the lives of Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Whitney Port, and Heidi Montag, as best friends Lauren and Heidi attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
The series also follows the love lives of the girls, including Lauren's romance with Jason Wahler, and Heidi's relationship with Jordan Eubanks.
The Hills has six series in total, with a a revamp of the show called The Hills: New Beginnings launching in 2019, featuring a number of original cast members.
Is Laguna Beach on Netflix?
Series one and two of Laguna Beach, which includes 29 episodes in total, landed on Netflix on Sunday 26th December 2022.
Laguna Beach, or Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County as it's also known, first aired in 2004, focusing a select number of students from Laguna Beach High School, including Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti.
The show went on to have three series in total before being scrapped for the birth of The Hills in 2006.
Check out all of the celebrity cameos from The Hills below:
Lady Gaga
Not many people remember this, but before Lady Gaga made her millions, the singer appeared in Season 4 of The Hills. Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad were given the task of dressing the 'Just Dance' singer, and when her zip got stuck, LC saved the day!
Kim Kardashian
Unfortunately for Kim, her scenes were actually cut on the main show of The Hills, but MTV did finally show them during the 2016 special The Hills: That was then, this is now.
Sean Kingston
'Beautiful Girls' singer Sean Kingston appeared on the show in Season 3. Audrina Patridge accompanied the singer to his Jimmy Kimmel Live! rehearsal, and in turn she was sent flowers by him.
Lily Collins
Actress Lily Collins was also on the show in Season 3, making her debut as one of models at the famous Crillion Ball in Paris.
Marc Jacobs
In Season 3, Lauren Conrad was flown to New York City by Teen Vogue to assist fashion designer Marc Jacobs and his design team.
Justin Timberlake
The one and only Mr Justin Timberlake appeared at a party in Season 3 of the show, where both Whitney Port and Lauren Conrad were working.
Brandy
American singer Brandy appeared on the show in Season 4, when she was filmed in the recording studio with Audrina Patridge, who worked for Epic Records at the time.
Emily Weiss
She's now known as the founder of cosmetic company Glossier, but Emily Weiss appeared on The Hills as an intern at Teen Vogue.
After The Hills came to a controversial ending in 2010, featuring THAT scene with Brody Jenner and the fake backdrop, eight years later news emerged that the show would be making a comeback, in the form of The Hills: New Beginnings.
Although the loveable Lauren Conrad didn't feature, the show featured original cast members such as married couple Heidi and Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner, Justin Brescia, Kristin Cavallari, and new members Brandon Thomas Lee and Mischa Barton.
The Hills: New Beginnings was cancelled after two series.
