The last time we saw Himesh Patel, he was leaving Walford after playing Tamwar Masood on EastEnders for nine years. Since his last appearance two years ago, Himesh has been busy working on Channel 4 comedy Damned and has also contributed to a novel.

It's safe to say we haven't seen too much of him in the last couple of years, but all that's about to change - as Himesh has landed the main role in Danny Boyle's brand new film.

Himesh has joined a team headed up by renowned film director Danny Boyle and writer Richard Curtis for a romantic comedy rumoured to be about The Beatles and is reportedly under the working title of All You Need Is Love.

The former EastEnders actor has been spotted taking selfies with Richard alongside Game Of Thrones actor Joel Fry who is also apparently starring in the film.

A spokesperson for the film did not want to reveal the title, but did tell the Liverpool Echo,** "You can expect to see some Beatles elements in the film but The Beatles themselves will not be appearing.

"You can expect to see us doing some more filming around Liverpool and I can say that the plot involves our central character, played by Himesh, who wakes up one day and is the only person who remembers The Beatles exist."

Ooh... Sounds intriguing!
