Following the popular show being axed from Channel 5, Emma Willis took to Instagram yesterday to share the sad news that the much loved Big Brother house is being knocked down.
Sharing a photo of the building site, the 42-year-old said, 'Sad times listening to this going on outside my dressing room this weekend... RIP BB house' sic.
Plenty of fans were quick to comment, sharing in the disbelief over this tragic news. One fan wrote 'Noooooooooooooooooooo 😢😢😢😢😢😢 how can this be happening xx' sic, with another writing, 'End of an era 😢' sic.
Many fans even suggested that the site should have instead been turned into a tourist attraction, with one writing it is a 'part of British culture'.
After eighteen years on our screens, six of which presented by Emma, Big Brother UK took to Instagram last November to thank their fans and followers in their 'final farewell'.
Speaking of Big Brother's closing on Big Brother's Bit On The Side, Emma said, "This should be a positive thing because we should just show everybody how great this programme is, and we should love it and embrace it and give it the send off it deserves. I've also been here before when it finished, so I'm like, 'Oh yeah, we buried it and then it came back to life'. It was brilliant actually, with all the changes that the production team have made this series for Celebrity and the one we’re about to enter."
Presenter, and Celebrity Big Brother 2013 winner, Rylan Clark-Neal took to Twitter ahead of the final episode to share an emotional message. Sharing in the X Factor stars' grief, one fan responded 'Iv never missed a episode too rylan I’m honestly heartbroken my all time favourite show' sic, with another writing, 'A very sad evening - this show must come back' sic.
