A few months back we caught wind of some super exciting TV news that left us harking back to our days of fantasising about waking up with magic powers and a portal to the other realm in our laundry cupboard. That's right. We're talking about the news of a Sabrina The Teenage Witch reboot.
However, there's a catch. Fans of the kooky Sabrina Spellman played by Melissa Joan Hart, her bizarre but lovable aunts Hilda and Zelda, and Salem the talking black cat, will be disappointed to hear that this remake is vastly different.
The new show is apparently called The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and is reportedly based on a particular Archie Comics series, which tells the story of Madam Satan (Sabrina’s dad’s ex) who has returned from hell to reap her revenge on the Spellman family.

However, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is from the same producers as Riverdale, so we have very high hopes. And now that the core members of the cast have been revealed we're even more excited.
Particularly, because Lucy Davis aka Dawn from The Office has landed a major role.
Archie Comics revealed on Twitter that Kiernan Shipka, who's previously starred in Mad Men and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, will take on the lead role of Sabrina Spellman, while Miranda Otto will play her Aunt Zelda.
Lucy (Dawn) has been cast as quirky Aunt Hilda, and they've even found a new black cat to take on the very important role of Salem.
A number of new characters have also been cast for the Netflix remake.
Father Blackwood - a high priest in the Church of Night and the leader of the Academy of the Unseen Arts, according to Deadline - will be played by Richard Coyle.
Michelle Gomez (known for roles in Doctor Who and Green Wing) has been cast to play evil Mary Warden, who tries to turn Sabrina to the dark side.
And new star Chance Pedromo will take on his first TV role as Ambrose Spellman, Sabrina's English warlock cousin.
