Niall Horan's Operation A Success

A 'floating kneecap' which has been causing Niall some discomfort since for a while has finally been operated on and resolved. The football injury, which took place in 2012, had been gradually getting worse until it eventually became quite serious after Niall had been dancing on it during a series of live performances in late 2012.

The 20 year-old was spotted on crutches at Heathrow airport after returning from the US, where the surgery took place. Niall explained on Twitter that the operation, which was 'much larger than anticipated', has reportedly been a 'complete success'.

Niall has asked for privacy while he takes time to recover.

The Irish boybander will have until April to recover, when he'll be needed with his four bandmates to kick off their Where We Are tour.
