Police in Australia have had to launch an internal investigation after one of their officers agreed to appear in a photo pretending to arrest singer, Lily Allen.

The photo, which was posted to Lily's instagram profile but has now been removed, shows Lily on her knees with her arms behind her back pretending to be arrested by an Australian police offer.

Lily then deleted the photo an hour later posting "Uh Oh" on her Twitter account.

The photo, which was taken only minutes after Lily landed at Queensland Airport, shows the officer in question breaking very strict protocol.

An Australian Federal Police spokesman said: “On July 27, Lily Allen was escorted by AFP members whilst transitting through Coolangatta airport at her request.

“Ms Allen requested a photo op so AFP members placed open handcuffs on her and posed for a photo which breached standard protocols.

“Ms Allen has NOT been arrested and is NOT being investigated.

“The AFP members are subject to internal measures.”

A spokesperson for Lily Allen has yet to make any comment on the matter.
