Kanye West Voted Least Happy Celebrity in heat Poll
While Olly Murs is apparently the happiest
In a bid to combat those woeful January blues, our friends over at heat Magazine held a poll to find what makes their readers smile most.
Over 1121 people had their say with chirpy Essex chappie Olly Murs coming out on top as the Happiest Celebrity narrowly beating Ant and Dec to the title.
Conversely, Kanye West was the celebrity most people believed needing cheering up closely followed by Kristen Stewart.
Elsewhere, Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’ was voted the most uplifting song ahead of Pharrell’s fittingly titled ‘Happy, while Alan Carr was voted the comedian most likely to make you happy closely followed by Michael McIntyre and Jack Whitehall.
Somewhat controversially, London was found to be the UK’s happiest city followed by Canterbury and Oxford.
The three happiest moments of 2014 were found to be Prince George doing anything at all, Ellen DeGeneres’ most retweeted Oscars selfie and Kate Middleton and Prince William announcing their second pregnancy.
heat’s editor-in-chief Lucie Cave said: "Here at heat we've raised the art of making people happy to a science.
“Our happiness survey confirms what we knew all along: Ant and Dec and Olly Murs are good for the soul, and Kanye West could do with a chuckle.
“Other results came as a surprise: who knew southerners were happier than those oop north?"
