Florence + The Machine, Professor Green confirmed for BRITs War Child gigs
Seven ultra-intimate shows are taking place
Florence + The Machine and Professor Green are among a clutch of big name artists performing ultra-intimate charity gigs to coincide with The BRIT Awards next month.
War Child’s Passport to BRITs Week together with O2 is a series of very special fundraising gigs in London raising money to provide protection to children caught in conflict.
As well as Professor Green and Florence, indie favourites Bloc Party, acoustic sensation Frank Turner, critically lauded electronic master Jamie xx, dance titans Above & Beyond and singer-songwriter extraordinaire Lianne La Havas will be performing across the series.
Liana Mellotte, Head of Music, Entertainment & Development at War Child says: “We’re really excited by the fantastic artists who are generously giving up their time to support children affected by conflict.
“We’ve got a strong heritage of working with some of the biggest names in entertainment, from David Bowie to Muse and Stereophonics, to make a difference to children growing up in some of the toughest places in the world - and this year is no exception.”
