Ed Sheeran offers Noel Gallagher Wembley show tickets
After the pair infamously traded insults
Ed Sheeran has offered to provide Noel Gallagher with tickets to his Wembley show following the pair’s war of words.
The former Oasis frontman previously made his feelings about Ed clear, describing him as 'polished pop' and stating that he couldn’t live in a world where the Thinking Out Loud singer headlined three shows at Wembley Stadium.
Sheeran responded brilliantly, saying: “I can live in it, it’s really enjoyable.”
The 23-year-old has now revealed to the Daily Star that he texted Gallagher following the brief altercation and invited him to his Wembley gig in July.
“I read what he said, I texted him because I have his number and asked him if he’d like some tickets,” said Ed.
“Noel Gallagher wrote back, ‘You cheeky so and so. My daughter would love some’.
“He’s always going to be the guy who’s outspoken. I wasn’t offended. I found it quite cool to be in his interview.”
The singer also added that it can be beneficial to get occasional criticism, explaining: “I get a lot of stick from press and people. But it’s good to get stick. That’s why American’s go off the rails. Ego-wise you are risen and risen and risen. Your ego grows.
"If you speak to anyone from Adele to Chris Martin, they would say they are grounded ‘cos they get a hiding from press.”
Ed Sheeran will perform at the 2015 Brit Awards next month and has been nominated for four awards including ‘British Male Solo Artist’.
