Ed Sheeran Covers 'Candle In The Wind' For Elton John Reissue

Ed Sheeran has covered Elton John’s seminal song ‘Candle In The Wind for an upcoming reissue of the pop veteran’s 1973 album ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’.

Released on 24th March, the deluxe edition and box set versions of the digitally remastered album come complete with a suite of nine cover versions of ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ songs.

Alongside Ed’s take on ‘Candle In The Wind’, Emeli Sandé has reinterpreted ‘All The Girls Love Alice’ and Fall Out Boy have covered ‘Saturday Night’s Alright For Fighting’.

Ed and Sir Elton previously joined forces for a rousing rendition of ‘The A Team’ at the 2013 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.

Originally released in October 1973, ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ shot to number one on both sides of the Atlantic and has gone on to sell over 31million copies worldwide.
