DJ Fresh On Alexandra Burke Collaboration 'It's Just Awkward'
He opens up about their war of words
This week Darryl Morris was lucky enough to catch up with DJ Fresh who revealed that he has found himself a bit of an over-keen admirer.
The 36-year-old producer, who is about to collaborate with Ellie Goulding on his new single, revealed to Darryl a very awkward encounter with a certain X Factor winner.
Fresh admitted that Alexandra Burke chased him around the dressing room and started “leaving notes for me everywhere saying she wanted to work with me, and then kind of got up in my face and gave me her phone number and was like, 'make sure you call me, make sure you call me'.”
Fresh – real name Daniel Stein - wasn’t feeling her proposal and flat out refused to have her on any of his tracks:
“I was already thinking, you’re a good singer and stuff but you just wouldn’t fit on my music. And I already knew I wasn’t going to be calling her it was really awkward…
“I make weird music and not everybody fits on it!”
Alexandra then took to Twitter with her feisty comeback, claiming she had not done any of what DJ Fresh had said.
She tweeted;
Alexandra hasn’t released any music since 2012, but it’s not all bad news though… Fresh told us, “She’s got a great voice and I wish her well.”
