Disclosure and Sam Smith announce new collaboration!
They're making musical alchemy again
Chart-conquering duo Disclosure and Sam Smith have confirmed they’re joining musical forces once again!
Over the weekend, Sam and Disclosure posted a series of tweets of Sam’s head with a trademark ‘Disclosure face’ drawn over it.
Clearly elated to be working with brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence again, Sam even changed his profile photo and header to the image.
Although both parties kept details of the collaboration at a minimum, it’s extremely likely that the track(s) will appear on Disclosure’s feline-themed new album ‘Caracal’, which lands on 25th September.
"A caracal is an incredible wild cat that I became fascinated with while on tour last year; I just love the way they look, their physical capabilities and their anonymity," Howard Lawrence said in a statement.
"It felt like a perfect fit for our Wild Life brand too, so the Caracal made perfect sense as the lead visual for the new album and over the course of recording, it also felt like a natural title for the new record too."
Sam Smith lent his vocals to Disclosure’s breakthrough hit ‘Latch’ back in 2012 and remains great friends with the brothers Lawrence.
‘Caracal’ will feature the previously announced Gregory Porter collaboration ‘Holding On’ together with guest vocals from Lion Babe, Nao, Kwabs and more yet to be announced.
Disclosure's debut album ‘Settle’ was nominated for a prestigious Grammy Award and the Mercury Prize.
