Cheryl has been out of the music business for a few years but it looks like she wants to return with an almighty collaboration. New reports suggest she's keen to record her next album with pop superstar Justin Bieber.
New mum Cheryl was spotted at the US Embassy in London last week and whilst the reason for her visit wasn't clear at the time, it looks like the 34-year-old is set to travel to America to record her fifth solo album.
According to new reports Cheryl is keen to work with Justin Bieber on the new album, with a source adding, "Cheryl is set up to meet with Justin Bieber on her LA trip to discuss finally doing that track together."
The source also revealed that it was in fact Cheryl's boyfriend Liam Payne who initially set up the apparent meeting. They added, "Set-up by Liam, a big favour... Biebs has said 'cool, let's hang out and talk' but he can be notoriously flaky and ruthless when it comes to his music."
After Cheryl and her fellow Girls Aloud friends decided to leave the band after their last tour in 2013, the mum-of-one worked hard on her solo material and currently holds the record for being the most successful British solo female artist alongside Jess Glynne.
Cheryl has racked up five UK number ones including the tracks, 'Fight For This Love', 'Promise This', 'Call My Name', 'Crazy Stupid Love' and 'I Don't Care'.
Check out some other facts you might not know about Cheryl in the video below:
As well as her successful singles, Cheryl has also released four solo albums including '3 Words', 'Messy Little Raindrops', 'A Million Lights' and her last album 'Only Human'.
Of course fans of the singer were extremely excited at the prospect of a Bieber collaboration and they've got a good reason to be!
A national newspaper is reporting Cheryl met with her record label Polydor earlier in the year to discuss her musical plans for the upcoming future.
Cheryl returned to work last month for the first time since giving birth to baby Bear in March. The former X Factor judge attended a photo shoot for L'Oreal Makeup and she couldn't wait to tell fans about it.
Posting a shot from the shoot to her Instagram page, Cheryl wrote, 'Back at it 😉📷💄@lorealmakeup #worthit'
The post was liked by Cheryl's boyfriend Liam, but the One Direction star went one step further to make his girl feel special on her first day back at work.
Liam was spotted carrying a stunning bunch of flowers into the studio where Cheryl was working.
It was also confirmed Cheryl is set to give her first TV interview in over nine months when she joins Rylan Clark-Neal on This Morning.
TV presenter Rylan caught up with the singer behind-the-scenes of Cheryl's new make-up advert which he teased on Instagram saying, 'Cheryl has gone back to work on her L'Oreal advert and This Morning were there... 'Cheryl rang us up and said come along - I'll give you my only TV interview'.
Although the interview has been filmed there is no confirmed date for when it will be shown on The Morning as Rylan continued, "I'm not going to tell you what was said, but Liam Payne was there on the day supporting the 'wifey' – as he's referred to her as before – on her first day back at work. So do not miss that, that's coming up really soon – I can't wait for that."
Fingers crossed she discusses the potential collaboration with Bieber!
