Beyonce Officially The Fastest Selling Artist Ever
Beyonce's surprise album is officially the fastest selling album in history.
Beyonce has officially become the fastest selling artist in iTunes history after selling 828,773 copies of her 'surprise' new album in only 3 days. These figures have also earnt Beyonce her highest first-week sales ever.
The self-entitled album is Beyonce's fith studio album and was released without warning just minutes before midnight on Friday the 13th of December. The album is described as Beyonce's first visual album as each of the 17 tracks are accompanied by seperate music videos that have been shot in various locations around the world including New York City, Paris, and Rio de Janeiro.
Beyonce has nearly doubled the previous record set by Taylor Swift when she released 'Red' back in October 2012.
Beyonce also announced a world tour for early 2014 which includes 13 UK dates. Tickets were made available earlier today.
