Beyoncé, has been named the world’s most powerful celebrity in this year’s Forbes Celebrity 100.

Queen Bey, who earned an estimated $115 million, knocked Oprah Winfrey off the top spot. Her success has been mainly down to her hugely successful tour. Playing around 95 shows, Beyoncé brought in an average of $2.4 million per stop.

Husband Jay** Z ranks at number six, making them the most powerful celebrity couple. In 2013, they jointly earned an estimated $95m (£59m). However, with their joint On The Run Tour**, the pair are likely to reign supreme in the next Forbes list too.

Dr Dre, who earned more in the past 12 months than anyone in the history of the Celebrity 100, appeared at number 3 in the list after Apple bought Beats By Dre for $3 billion.

Rihanna and Katy Perry also made appearances in the Top 10.

In addition to earnings, Forbes’ Celebrity 100 also takes into the number of mentions in print, TV and radio, and factor in a score system that measures social media power across 12 platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. They also also added an impact score, measuring the impact each celebrity has on the entertainment industry and our culture overall.
