A mega Adele fan has spent £6000 trying to see her idol perform live, only to have the gigs cancelled.

Lori Shortall lives in Newfoundland, Canada and has attempted to see Adele in concert three times. The first time was in Texas in 2011 which Lori flew to but the gig was cancelled last minute. Then again in 2016, Lori travelled to Arizona for 10 days to see the ‘Hello’ singer. Recently, Lori flew to London to see Adele’s final shows at Wembley only to find out they had been cancelled.

In an emotional Instagram post, Adele explained ‘I don’t even know how to start this. The last two nights are Wembley have been the biggest and best shows of my life. However I struggled vocally both nights. I had to push a lot harder than I normally do. I felt like I constantly had to clear my throat, especially last night’.

Adele continued 'I went to see my throat doctor this evening because my voice didn’t open up at all today and it turns out I have damaged my vocal chords. And on medical advice, I simply am unable to perform over the weekend. To say I’m heartbroken would be a complete understatement'.

Lori told a national newspaper: ‘I just cannot believe all three concerts. I have booked to see have been cancelled. I really would love to see her one day.’

Adding: ‘Adele is a beautiful singer and a great lady. I feel horrible for her. It has to be hard for her too. I just happened to pick three shows she cancelled.’
