Ed Sheeran wins British Album Of The Year at The BRITs
He picked up two major gongs
Ed Sheeran picked up the gong for Best British Album at this year’s BRIT Awards.
The ‘Thinking Out Loud’ claimed the biggest award of the night for his second studio album ‘X’ which was the fastest selling UK album of 2014.
He bounded on stage to collect his award from actor Russell Crowe describing the experience as “sick”.
The 24-year-old told the crowd that the album “took a long time to make and I didn’t expect this”, before later hitting the stage again to perform his latest single ‘Bloodstream’.
Ed also picked up a BRIT award for Best Male Solo artist, beating strong competition from Grammy award winner Sam Smith, Damon Albarn, George Ezra and Paolo Nutini.
He will be performing two sold out shows at Wembley Arena in July.
