Viewers slam Lauren Goodger as she makes TOWIE return

The Only Way Is Essex original Lauren Goodger made her big return to the show last night (Sunday 16th October) but she didn’t quite get the warmest of welcomes back from viewers.
As Lauren returned to the popular ITVBe reality show for the first time since leaving in 2012, viewers watched on as the controversial star found herself in the middle of drama.
Lauren was filmed comforting Megan McKenna following her heartbreaking split with Pete Wicks, but despite her kind actions viewers seemed to turn on the star, with some even commenting on her appearance.
Other viewers of the show were more shocked to discover that Lauren and Megan were actually friends and insinuated that the scenes had been ‘set up’.
Despite the negative comments, Lauren has been working hard on her appearance in the past few months.
Fans of the 30-year-old praised her figure last month when she showed off the results of her recent fitness regime. Lauren posted a snap of her toned figure to her Instagram page showing off her incredible weight loss.
The reality star has openly admitted her struggle with her weight in recent years. After wowing fans back in 2015, Lauren released a number one fitness DVD but failed to stick to her regime.
She then recently opened up about how an unflattering paparazzi picture made her determined to work on her body again. Speaking to a magazine she said, “Since seeing bad pap pics lately even though I don't agree I look like that at all, I’ve been training extremely hard. I nearly feel as amazing as I did on my DVD it works and I'm sticking to it not long now.”
Lauren will return to TOWIE on Wednesday 19th October as the current series continues to air.
