Taylor Swift hits back at Nicki Minaj after rapper rants about VMA snub
Warning: BAD BLOOD
It looks like there might be bad blood between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj.
After Nicki Minaj took to Twitter on Tuesday to rant about her VMA snub for Video of The Year, one particular comment seemed to single out Taylor Swift - whose hit 'Bad Blood' has been nominated in the category.
The tweet featured amongst a series of rants aimed at MTV and said "If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year."
Taylor hit back at the 'Anaconda' rapper with her own response, saying "I've done nothing but love & support you. It's unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot."
However, Nicki was quick to respond and clear the air, denying that it was ever aimed at Taylor: "Huh? U must not be reading my tweets. Didn't say a word about u. I love u just as much. But u should speak on this."
Minaj continued to show her feelings by retweeting and favouriting her fans support on Twitter, some of which was aimed at Taylor, who then attempted to smooth things over once more by offering her a spot on the stage if she wins: "If I win, please come up with me!! You're invited to any stage I'm ever on."
Despite the feud, Taylor had reason to celebrate yesterday after receiving 9 VMA nominations (4 are specifically for her) from MTV. The winner for Video of The Year will be announced at this year's ceremony on August 30th 2015 in Los Angeles.
After all the tweets flying around, Bruno Mars decided he wanted in on the "feud" action and sent this joke tweet to Ed Sheeran WARNING STRONG LANGUAGE
The duo then continued their fake Twitter war, much to the amusement of their fans...
Prompting one very clever fan to make this...let's make this happen!
It was also announced yesterday that Miley Cyrus will be hosting the 2015 awards. The 'Wrecking Ball' singer took to Instagram to make the slightly eccentric announcement.
