Fast gaining the reputation is the nicest pop star on the planet, Taylor Swift has given one of her super fans $1,989 (£1,300) towards her student loan!
The ‘Shake It Out’ singer often responds directly to fan videos and posts on social media and is known for even giving gifts to her most fervent followers.
This time she singled out super fan Rebekah Bortniker whose tumblr blog thatcheshirecatsmile is wholly devoted to her pop idol Taylor.
After Rebekah sent Taylor a montage video to theme of Friends, the singer sent her a huge "SwiftEx" box of personalised presents. You can watch the moment she opened the box here:
The 25-year-old fan cries as she opens each item including a hand-written note, a necklace and a picture Taylor painted especially for her.
The note reads: “Hi you. I was thinking about you today, and how you have been there cheering me on in the most thoughtful and creative ways.
“I love the video you made of me and my friends, and your text posts always crack me up or make me think. I got out my paints for the first time in a while today and made you something I really really really really hope you like it.
“I’m not a good painter but I think you’re so beautiful and positive, even though you’re dealing with the stress life brings, so I wanted to make you something.”
Most impressively, there was also a tag along with a cheque reading: “Rebekah, now you’re $1989 closer to paying off those student loans.”
The amount of money comes from the title of Taylor’s latest multi-million selling album ‘1989’.
"I'm still trying to find the words for how I'm feeling," tweeted Rebekah afterwards. "I just love Taylor so much and I can't thank her enough for this."
Taylor also posted the video of the present opening, telling Rebekah: "I love you so much".
