Sir Tom Jones has accused BBC bosses of disrespect and ‘sub-standard behaviour’ after they failed to renew his contract for the upcomming season.

The 75-year-old had been on the panel since the first series. On the day it was announced Boy George would replace Sir Tom Jones for the fifth series, he took to social media to express his disappointment.

Producers have claimed that Jones has not been axed and that his four year contract was up in April and no offer of renewal had been given.

'The Voice' has suffered in the UK as they have been unable to produce a succesful artist in the same way that 'The X Factor' has produced Olly Murs, One Direction and Little Mix to name a few.

The new panel will see the return of Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs, Will.i.am and Paloma Faith has been brought in to replace Rita Ora, who after one series left for rival show 'The X Factor'.

Paloma Faith at T in the Park Culture Club singer Boy George, has had a troubled past but has been picked by show bosses to come and inject some new life into the show.
