As the big day for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle draws near, Kensington Palace has now revealed what roles the parents and families of the happy couple will have on their wedding day.

Releasing a statement online, the Palace revealed that on the morning of the wedding, Meghan's mum Ms Doria Ragland, would travel with her daughter by car to Windsor Castle. Meghan's Dad would also play a special part in the day by walking Meghan down the aisle in St George's Chapel.

The statement also said that Meghan was, "Delighted to have her parents by her side on this important and happy occasion."

Last week Prince Harry's Best Man was finally confirmed to be his brother Prince William. This news came after months of speculation, after Prince William was asked if he was going to be Best Man in January, to which he replied, "He hasn't asked me yet - it could be a sensitive issue!"

The statement released by Kensington Palace also revealed that Prince Harry would like to involve members of his late mother's family. The statement said, "All three siblings of Diana, Princess of Wales will be in attendance and Lady Jane Fellowes will give the reading."

Continuing, "Prince Harry and Ms. Markle both feel honoured that Lady Jane will be representing her family and helping to celebrate the memory of the late Princess on the wedding day."

In the statement we have also been told to expect more exciting details about the wedding. In the last couple of weeks before the big day details of the bridesmaids, page boys and the flowers will be released.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's engagement was announced back in November 2017 with a photoshoot of the couple soon after.

There has also been much talk about who has been invited to the wedding, with an A-List couple being confirmed recently. Miguel Perez, who does Meghan's hair when she is in London, revealed the A-list couple, George and Amal Clooney will be attending the big day later in the month.

The wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will take place on Saturday 19th May at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.
