He laughs off reports linking him to the show

One Direction’s Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson have categorically denied reports they’re joining The X Factor as judges.

Ever since reports emerged claiming that Louis Walsh was not returning to the ITV talent show, the press have been having a field day linking a variety of big names to the (apparently) vacant judges chair.

Among the many names bandied around were Simon Cowell’s 1D protégés Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Such was the intense interest that bookmakers stopped taking bets on Niall become a judge.

However, speaking to Digital Spy, Louis and Niall have put an abrupt stop to the rumour mill.

When asked about joining the show, Louis said: "I've got a tour to do so unfortunately not."

Also denying the rumours, Niall added: "I'll be the worst judge ever. I'll be terrible."

On Saturday Robbie Williams took to Twitter to also rule himself out of The X Factor, saying: “I'm unequivocally not doing X-Factor. Good luck to the show though x”

Robbie’s comments follow an interview Gary Barlow conducted with Hallam FM where he revealed Robbie had turned down the chance to judge American Idol.
