Fans must hand them in

In a bid to combat poor quality videos being uploaded to YouTube, Mumford & Sons have banned all mobile phones and recording devices from an upcoming album preview show.

Earlier this morning, the band announced exciting details of the special gig at Brighton's Dome Corn Exchange on Monday (27th April) exclusively to their mailing list.

As well as having an ultra-limited capacity of 500, the gig comes with a catch – you’ve got to leave your phones behind or arrive one hour early to check them in.

The message reads: "As this show is happening pre-album release, the band have requested all mobile phone and recording devices to be prohibited inside the venue."

!

It then tells Mumford fans to arrive a “minimum of an hour” before the show to check in their phones if they’re bringing them and allow an extra hour at the end to pick them up.

Marcus, Winston, Ben and Ted will be performing material from their first two albums ‘Sigh No More’ and ‘Babel’ alongside tracks from their upcoming electric album ‘Wilder Mind.’

Mumford & Sons headline Reading and Leeds Festival on the August Bank Holiday weekend.
