Liam Payne defends relationship with Cheryl after Twitter backlash

Poor old Liam Payne is finding himself under a lot of backlash at the moment after confirming his relationship with Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, but now the One Direction man has broken his silence and hit back at harsh Twitter messages.

After paying tribute to his new girl on International Women’s Day (8th March), the singer found himself under some serious backlash from fans who don’t quite approve of his new relationship.

Liam took to Instagram to post a stunning snap of Cheryl with the caption ‘Happy #internationalwomensday to my favourite woman in the world. Hope I make you as happy as u make me x.’

As one fan asked Liam ‘Is that why you barely tweet’, the ‘History’ singer responded ‘yeah I find pretty much everything I say is held against me’ – Aww Liam!

Despite the harsh comments directed towards her, Cheryl is seemingly keeping hush about the situation.

Liam’s cute post came just hours after his ex-girlfriend Sophia Smith had reportedly branded the relationship ‘so weird’ and claimed she had known about it for a while.

The relationship seems to be going from strength to strength at the moment, with recent reports suggesting Cheryl has already moved in to Liam’s mansion despite the fact she is still legally married to French man Jean Bernard.
