The best reactions to award win
Last updated 26th Jan 2017
After 5 unsuccessful nominations since 1994 the moment has arrived, Leonardo DiCaprio finally has his Oscar.
Leo won the award for 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' at the 88th Academy Awards after his magnificent performance as Hugh Glass in The Revenant and the internet has reacted in splendid fashion:
In 1994 DiCaprio received his first Oscar nomination for 'Best Actor in a Supporting Role' in What's Eating Gilbert Grape, unfortunately he was beaten by Tommy Lee Jones and his performance in The Fugitive.
Between 2005 and 2014 he was nominated 3 times for 'Best Actor in a Leading Role' for his work on The Aviator, Blood Diamond and The Wolf of Wall Street but still failed to receive the honour.
Now in 2016 the actor has finally received that coveted statuette and we couldn't be happier for him, congratulations Leo!
