They said it was their 'hectic schedules'

These last couple of weeks have been terrible for Love Island romances. There was news that Olivia Attwood was left 'humiliated' after Chris was reportedly spotted 'kissing' a mystery woman, series two stars Rykard Jenkins and Rachel Fenton announced their relationship was over and Scott Thomas and Kady McDermott called it quits…again.

However, it was the news that Love Island 2017 winners Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies had decided to part ways that shocked us the most.

“With sadness, we’ve decided to separate," the former couple said in a statement to MailOnline.

"We fell in love in the villa and want to thank all the fans of the show for supporting us.

"We still have a lot of love for each other and will remain good friends."

A source revealed at the time that the pair had been 'clashing', telling a national newspaper, “It’s also been very hard for them to see each other with their hectic schedules."

Now, it's been reported that it may be Kem's commitment to Dancing On Ice that was the final nail in the coffin for their five-month relationship (post villa).

And not because Amber's jealous of his dancing partner.

According to The Mirror, it's Kem's dedication to a healthy lifestyle for the show that put pressure on the couple.

Speaking to New! Magazine before the split, Amber explained, "He's eating healthily, unlike me.

"I ordered an Indian takeaway the other day. I'm supporting him, but not by eating salad."

Maybe the lack of fast food proved too much for Amber to deal with.

Former Love Island star Alex Bowen also hinted he thinks Dancing On Ice may have caused the split.

"The fact Kem got Dancing On Ice, that will be taking up a lot of his time," he said, adding they won't have enough 'time for each other'.

His fiancé Olivia Buckland then added, "We don't know Kem but we both know Amber. I text her last night and said I hoped she was alright."
