After publicly announcing he was set to run to become the next President of the United States, rapper Kanye West has now outlined his plans in an attempt to take over from Donald Trump at the White House.

Following his emotional rally in America at the weekend, and his now-deleted Twitter rant which included his wife Kim Kardashian and his mother-in-law Kris Jenner, Kanye has revealed he would like his former BFF Jay Z to be his second-in-command.

Speaking on Kris Kaylin's radio show over in the States, Kanye said, "We have Michelle Tidball, who is a Christian pastor out of Wyoming, who is my running mate. But she would be open to taking another position if we found another running mate."

The 'Stronger' hit maker then revealed Jay Z is in fact his favourite candidate, admitting, "I reached out to Jay to possibly be my vice president, my running mate.”

However, when asked if he'd spoken to Jay Z, real name Shawn Carter, Kanye said, “Man, you know I ain’t talked to my brother in thousands, or like, nine years or something like that. And the fact we ain’t talked in so long, that’s how you know we’re real brothers. Because unfaithful ones can be mad at you and still pull up cos they getting the cheque.”

Of course, Kanye and Jay Z used to be best pals, with the pair working together on a number of hit singles over the years. However, their friendship took a slight sour turn over business clashes, and if that wasn't enough, Jay Z and his wife Beyoncé failed to attend Kanye's wedding to Kim in 2014.

Back at the beginning of July, Kanye shocked the world when he publicly announced he was set to run for President. Tweeting out to his 29.5 million followers, he wrote, 'We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States'. (sic)

Kanye is expected to run as an independent, whilst Donald Trump will represent the Republican Party, and former Vice President Joe Biden will represent the Democratic Party.

The 2020 United States Presidential election is due to take place on Tuesday 3rd November, but already the rallies have started out in America.

However, after his Twitter rant through the night, Kanye has now confirmed his new album 'DONDA' will arrive on Friday 24th July, adding that he is going to 'focus on the music now'.

So is Kanye's Presidency campaign over before it's even got going? Time will tell! 👀
