Justin Timberlake broke the law by taking this selfie
He flew to Memphis especially to vote.
He might be a chart-topping singer, but Justin Timberlake almost found himself in hot water after he posted a photo of himself at a polling station.
The 'Cry Me A River' singer flew 1700 miles especially to vote in the US elections, taking advantage of the early voting which is available in a number of states.
Posting the photo on Instagram the 35-year-old singer captioned it "I just flew from LA to Memphis to #rockthevote!!! No excuses, my good people!"

However, soon after the photo was uploaded for his 37 million followers to see Justin realised he had made a mistake. In 2015 it became illegal to take photos inside polling stations in Tennessee and breaking this law could result in up to 30 days in jail or a fine of $50 or both!
Luckily for JT they have decided not to look into the matter as District Attorney Amy Weirich said, "no one in our office is currently investigating this matter nor will we be using our limited resources to do so."
A spokesman for the Tennessee Secretary of State also said people should only use their phones for help with voting, but he couldn't resist referencing the singer's latest song saying, he's "thrilled Justin Can't Stop The Feeling".
While at the polling station Justin was happy to pose for photos with fans.
The original photo has since been removed from his official Instagram account, however it quickly circulated across the internet.
