Justin Beiber has taken to Twitter and Facebook to pay tribute to a friend who was killed in the Paris attacks last Friday.

Thomas Ayad, an International Product Manager for Mercury Records, a division of Universal Music France, was in the Bataclan theatre watching the Eagles of Death Metal concert when he was killed.

Justin started his post saying "Still thinking about Paris and my friend Thomas that we lost in the tragedy," going on to say, "You are appreciated and missed. Thoughts and prayers are with his family & friends"

Thomas had been part of Justin's team for years. His Facebook page has now been changed to the 'Remembering' state paying tribute to 34-year-old.

Universal Music Group chairman/CEO Lucian Grainge said in a note to Universal employees, “On behalf of everyone here at UMG, we extend our most profound sympathies to his parents and all of his friends and family.”

On Friday 13th November Justin broke down in tears at his album launch concert in Los Angeles where he prayed for those affected by the attacks.
