Haliey Baldwin is probably regretting that 'Bieber' Instagram post
Uh-oh!
Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend and American beauty Hailey Baldwin could be in trouble for a recent Instagram post she uploaded.
After all of the drama surrounding Biebs and Selena Gomez, Hailey took to her account to post what seemed to be a dig at her ex-boyfriend with a deep caption.
It read “We’ve all had our fair share of things we’ve done, both good and bad. What makes the present so powerful is when we take complete responsibility for our actions, we allow ourselves self-growth. Misplacing the blame onto someone else isn’t going to get you to the next stage in life, so try not to manipulate a situation to make yourself look better.
"The truth always come to light, so it's better just to own it. We're all guilty of things, but show people you have enough love and respect for yourself to be honest about it and learn from it. Be comfortable in your own skin and understand you are not your past nor is anyone else. No matter how much better off someone may seem, we are humanly flawed in our own ways, but also share the same endless potential to be better than we used to be."
However it turns out the widely shared words weren't actually original!
Hailey led fans to believe the words were hers but in fact they are the words of Mellisa Molomo, a writer of a popular book called ‘Say What’s Real’.
According to reports, Melissa has sent Hailey a cease and desist letter which demands the model to apologise and stop ‘stealing’ her work. The letter also states that the 19-year-old could have to pay up to $150,000 in damages.
Page Six are reporting that Melissa’s attorney, Z Zoltan Stein, writes “In copying and using Ms. Molomo’s work without permission, you have taken credit and caused confusion as to whom the original author of this work is. Melissa is also requesting an apology from Hailey in a separate post on Instagram to her 7.5M followers."
Hailey is yet to respond to the letter but has since deleted the post. We bet she doesn't do that again!
