David Beckham lands role in Guy Ritchie’s new ‘King Arthur’ movie
He will don full Medieval gear for the role
David Beckham has bagged a role in Guy Ritchie’s new film ‘Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur’.
The retired football star has reportedly signed up for a cameo role in his pal’s upcoming Middle Ages epic, starring Jude Law, Charlie Hunnam, Eric Bana and Poppy Delevingne.
According to movie website Film Divider the 40-year-old will appear in a scene where Excalibur is drawn from the stone.
His character known as ‘Blackleg leader’ is thought to play against his gentlemanly image, as a hot shot who is really annoyed when he isn’t able to pull out the famous sword.
There are also rumoured to be a number of football puns for his cameo.
‘Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur’ is scheduled for a 2016 release.
This is not the first time the famous pals have worked together, as they joined forces for a whiskey advert last year as well as an underwear ad in 2013.

Becks is also set to make a cameo in the ‘Snatch’ director’s highly anticipated forthcoming movie ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E’.
The film starring Henry Cavill, Arnie Hammer and Hugh Grant is set for release in August 2015.
