There are many big names in the world that is rap and hip-hop; Drake, Fifty Cent and Eminem to name a few… but, could Dave Vitty from the Hits Radio Breakfast Show be the new man on the scene?

On Thursday 11th October Gethin, Gemma and Dave were joined on the show by Olly Murs. Quite fittingly, decided to call it “Mursday” instead of Thursday. The Voice judge, entered the studio smelling “very fresh” according to Gemma Atkinson. Olly, went on to say that he: “Loves the Manchester vibe, and would live here in our city of Manchester! Gethin Jones, then added- “we could be flat mates” Maybe take him for a nice meal first, Gethin!

Olly Murs, has released a new single featuring a legend in rap/Hip-Hop, Snoop-Dog. The song, called 'Moves' was released on the 28th September, written by Ed Sheeran. It was at this moment, Dave Vitty had spotted a problem with having such a big star on Olly Mur’s new track. Dave, pointed out that “Mr Dog” won’t be able to perform all of the gigs, because Snoop-Dog is not actually based in the UK. To everyone’s surprise Dave, confidently put his name forward to be a substitute for Snoop-Dogg, and decided to audition live on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show.

Check out Dave's audition...

Could this be the next big collaboration? I don’t know about you, if I was Olly Murs, I would get Dave Vitty signed up. If you thought the rap collaborations stopped there, you would be wrong as Gethin Jones, announced that “everyone has a rap in them” he then directed his attention towards his co-presenter; Gemma Atkinson to pick up the mic. Gemma, had written down her rap claiming all the lyrics had come to her in a dream.

It appears there’s no end to the Breakfast Show's talents. All we need now is for Gethin Jones to show off his rap skills and we could have our very own Hits Radio Breakfast album.

Listen to Gethin, Gemma and Dave weekday mornings from 6am.
