After almost three years since Cheryl released any solo music, it's no surprise her fans are VERY excited about the prospect of new music from the new mum.

With pictures of Cheryl working with the likes of Naughty Boy, Nicola Roberts and Rak-Su doing the rounds on the Internet, Cheryl has now excited fans further by posting a brand new snap to her Instagram page.

Breaking her Instagram silence for the first time since December 24th, Cheryl uploaded a photo with the one and only Big Shaq (AKA Michael Dapaah). Making reference to his massive 2016 hit 'Man's Not Hot', Cheryl wrote, 'The girl told me “take off your jacket” ! I said “babes, mans not hot” 😏😂 @bigshaq__official ❤️' sic

Clearly excited at the prospect of new music, and a potential collaboration with the rapper, fans left a number of comments on the photo.

One user wrote, 'Yes yes yes👏🏽', with another adding, 'This is just amazing'.

Last month it was revealed that Cheryl is back in the studio, working on her brand new album with major producer Naughty Boy.

Naughty Boy, who has worked with the likes of Sam Smith and Beyoncé in the past, posted a snap himself, Cheryl and 2017 X Factor winners Rak-Su. He wrote, 'SQUAD @raksuraksu @cheryl official #fblock #naughty #music #watchthisspace'. sic

Cheryl's former Girls Aloud bandmate and best friend Nicola Roberts then sent fans into meltdown when she posted a selfie with the former X Factor judge.

Writing the words, 'I never say this but just for this one time - watch out !! ♥️ ✏️ 🎼🔥', fans of Cheryl were left VERY excited.

After Girls Aloud decided to go their separate ways, Cheryl began her solo career and scored a massive five solo UK number 1s with the singles 'Fight For This Love', 'Promise This', 'Call My Name', 'Crazy Stupid Love' and 'I Don't Care'.

Cheryl last released solo music in 2015, however her biggest hit was 'I Don't Care' in 2014. Her last album 'Only Human' was also released in 2014, so fans have had to wait a long time for new music from the former Girls Aloud singer.

We can't wait to hear her new music!

Meanwhile, we could be seeing a lot more of the Geordie girl on our TV screens in 2018. Last month, Dermot O'Leary spilled the news that Cheryl would be returning to The X Factor as a judge later in the year.
