Australia reveals its Eurovision entry – LISTEN
Australia has unveiled its Eurovision song
Australia has unveiled its entry for this year’s Eurovision Song Contest.
Following a surprise announcement last month, confirming that Australia will compete in the famous singing competition, Guy Sebastian has revealed the song he will perform.
Written and produced over the past week, ‘Tonight Again’ begins as a slow ballad before launching into a catchy up-beat pop track.
Check out it out below:
Guy says: “When it came time to decide on a song, I thought since I had a couple of days off in Australia, I would try and write something new. But if I was to record a new song I wanted it to be home-grown and organic with my band in my studio.”
His performance at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest marks the first time in history that Australia has been invited to compete.
The country has been welcomed as a wild card entry to celebrate 60 years of the competition and has been fast tracked to the grand-final.
Guy Sebastian was crowned the first winner of Australian Idol in 2003 and has gone on to become one of the most successful artists in his native country, selling over 3.7 million records.
The UK's Eurovison entry was also recently revealed. However Electro Velvet's 'Still In Love With You' has recieved a mixed response.
The Eurovision Song Contest takes place on 23rd May 2015 in Vienna, Austria.
