Witness appeal after fatal crash in South Ferriby

Police in South Ferriby are appealing for witnesses to a fatal crash on the A1077 yesterday (02/01).
It's believed that a black Volkswagen Polo was travelling west in the direction of South Ferriby, when it was involved in a collision with a black Honda Jazz, travelling east towards Barton-upon-Humber around 7.45 am.
The driver of the Honda, a 49-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the Volkswagen, believed to be a woman in her early 20s, was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
Humberside Police are now appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage to get in contact, quoting log 53 of 2nd January.
