We speak to a Hull woman who faced a long wait for menopause treatment
Figures suggest it's taking around 32 weeks to get a specialist clinic appointment UK wide
There are concerns about the amount of time it's taking for woman facing the menopause across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire to get the vital support they need.
It’s after national figures show women are waiting around 32 weeks to be referred to a specialist menopause clinic on the NHS.
Louise Farey from Hull had to wait two years to get treatment - she's spoken to us about her experiences.
She says: "Because I was early forties I just kept getting fobbed off and fobbed off."
"They were saying I was too young for the menopause - although I was showing symptoms on a monthly cycle it was being denied and I was being told I was just depressed."
"I became a bit of a monster in a way - when I look back and think about how my moods were."

"All of a sudden you start getting all these anxieties - lack of sleep, palpitations - your joints start aching more."
"If there was someone available in each area for you to bat questions to and for them to return and go - yeah it does sound like you are this - and this could be a good solution for you - I think it would cut down wait time."
