Hundreds of runners take part in Christmas Day parkrun in Hull

Organisers confirmed there was a festive gathering of 680 people

680 people attended the parkrun on Christmas Day in Hull, with organisers thanking runners, joggers and walkers.

They said it's their biggest Christmas Day attendance ever.

In a post on social media, Hull parkrun said: "Thank you so much for joining us - and thanks, too, to our awesome volunteers - for making it such a brilliant start to the Christmas celebrations."

Breaking down the stats, it was 74 people's first time doing the parkrun, 389 runners were male and 261 were female.
