Woman dies after fire at Nottingham house

A woman, who was taken to hospital after a fire in Nottingham has died from her injuries.

Emergency services were called to the blaze at a house in Forster Street on the 1st March, where Izabela Chalastra, who was 46, was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

A 62-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the fire remains on police bail.

Detective Inspector Craig Hall, who is investigating the incident, said:

“We are continuing to work extremely hard to build up a picture of what happened and have spoken to a number of people as part of our investigation."

“We are satisfied this was an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider public.”
