Nottinghamshire Police investigating report of serious sexual assault
It's believed to have taken place in Victoria Park off Bath Street
A serious sexual assault is said to have taken place in Victoria Park in Nottingham.
Police say it happened at 3am on Saturday morning in the area off Bath Street and that the victim is being supported by officers.
They also believe a man and a woman saw what happened and they're keen to speak with them.
Detective Sergeant Barry Haines, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are working to understand what happened in the moments before during and after this incident and are currently pursuing a number of lines of inquiry.
“To this end we would like to speak to two people who were in the park at the time and later spoke with the young woman involved.
“We believe they have vital information about what happened and urge them to come forward without delay.”
