Both Nottinghamshire Police and the Metropolitan Police were in Carlton
Police have arrested a man after a police raid in Nottinghamshire this morning (1 June).
Armed officers from Nottinghamshire Police assisted colleagues from the Metropolitan Police at an address Greenfield Grove in Carlton, where a 57-year-old man was arrested.
Chief Inspector Neil Humphris, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
"People living in this area may have been aware of a large police presence.
“I would like to reassure them there is no ongoing or wider threat to the public following this arrest.
"There is likely to be a cordon in place while we continue to assist the Metropolitan Police in their investigations, so I would like to thank residents for their understanding and cooperation."
