Police launch appeal for information after teenage cyclist hit by car
Nottinghamshire Police are urging those with information to come forward
Police in Nottinghamshire are appealing for information after a teenage cyclist was hit by a car.
Officers were first alerted to an incident taking place on Broxtowne Lane in the town of Cinderhill on Wednesday, October 2nd.
At around 8:10pm, a 17-year-old boy had been riding along the road when he was hit by an oncoming car.
The boy had sustained cuts to his arms, legs and hands after being hit, and when attended to by emergency services, was soon taken to hospital.
Following investigations, it was established that the collision took place on the junction with Biant Close.
The car that had been involved in the incident is believed to have left the scene, and officers are now keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the time of the collision.
Speaking about the case, PC Martin Giddy from Nottinghamshire Police said: "We are working to track down the driver involved and have carried out extensive investigations in the local area.
"We would now like to appeal to any additional witnesses who saw any part of this incident.
"We would particularly like to hear from drivers with dashcams who were in the area at the time."
